Timed just right you descend into what is referred to as a living Ghost Town, whose primary inhabitants are wild burros, in time for a delicious lunch at one of the quaint local eateries and an impromptu gun fight in the streets! Left behind by the brigade of gold miners that once called Oatman, Arizona home, the burros of Oatman enjoy being fed lots of treats by the visitors and having their pictures taken!!
You can’t leave this town without popping into the many cute shops and buying souvenirs that incorporate Route 66 and the very popular burros including Route 66 Rootbeer and Lazy Ass pajamas and silly socks!! The place also offers an abundance of mined rocks, crystals and gems!
